No thumbnails

Ubuntu 8.10 Beta. Thumbnails in Nautilus, but if I add a photo to an e-mail in Evolution, or choose images in Hugin - no thumbnails, just small icons.

Suggestions?

Also, was hoping this release would allow individual image preview in the file chooser but it seems not - unless I'm missing a trick.
