My ipod mounts as a usb drive which i can't open. I'm using Intrepid with all updates installed, but cant seem to get it to mount so that its detected in amarok (no, i'm not using kubuntu) or rhythymbox.

My lsusb output shows the ipod:
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 05ac:1209 Apple, Inc. iPod Video

and when i try to open the drive in gparted, it shows it as mounted, but only having 18GB of space. I'm a tad bit confused, and probably should've just waited till the full release.

Any help given is greatly appreciated, as my ipod is my source of music in my car and it needs re-freshening pretty badly.

Thanks,

Have you tried gtkpod?

Applications > Add/Remove > SHOW: all available applications > SEARCH: type in: gtkpod > click on top box next to gtkpod > click apply changes > apply > close.

Yep, tried gtkpod, thinking maybe there were some drivers i wasn't using or something, but no effect, says no ipod found or something to that effect.

The Screenshot attached shows the ipod showing up as just a usb drive.
