howto change partition size?

i need to install os9 on my ibook g3 and it not let me to choose apartition.
maybe i need to do another partition for os9, for do that i need to smaller the size of the free space partition belonging to ubuntu

What do you have for partitions now? Apple's Disk Utility/Drive Setup won't let you resize partitions - must delete and re-create.
