help running 12sky on ubuntu 8.04 lts with wine!!!!(HELP PLZ I DO NOT HAVE WINDOWS)

hey everyone im still kinda new to linux although i do like it better than windows. but recently i have been trying to install a game i play on windows (ie:12Sky) i hav heard about wine and diffrent sorts of windows emulators and such so any way i installed wine installed 12Sky did everything i have read on previous forums and i still g et the same error ( [Error::mGXD.init(6)] ) and after i close that box another error pops up ( [Error::AplicationInit()] ) both of those errors show and then the game window closes completely i have tried configuring wine adding native windows dlls (ie: winnienet.dll) and it still wont work <>.<> i know it is possible to run i have seen it before on tutorial videos ie youtube lol i dont know if maybe its my computer (i run a fujitsu life book that was pre installed with windows vista) i am dual booting on my other comp windows xp pro gamers edition and ubuntu 8.04 lts as well but i tried the same thing on both comps and still same error so idk what the problem is im sure...yes im sure it has something to do with me being a n00b to linux but none the less i would like to be able to run my game on linux ubuntu 8.04 so plz if anyone has fixed this problem plz help me fix it thx...dakk

Upate6: I oddly found a fix to the mouse aliment when i was trying to make more of the game apper. The Panels need to be set to be able to hide. like see on mine now there arrows on both bottom and upper panels to hide them. Http://FoxZone.Ath.Cx/Screenshot7.png And when you exit the game those arrows will be there to make them re apper. I notice my pointer was in the right place where the mouse was. So a added plus. I declare this a winer.

Update5: Wa la its working. Cept the Mouse is little odd. The mouse pointer is out of aliment. I had to put the pointer little lower then the User name field to be able to click into it to type my login. lol

Update4: ok So far seems to be slowly patching. but so far what i did was no diffrent in the youtube link you posted. expect for step 5. Instead i downloaded the zip file to my desktop and unpacked it and moved it to the System32 Folder myself. then i did the next step. can get the Files to unpack at http://neocomy.net/files/dlls-12sky.zip. Oddly i think something up and it dont unpack correctly they way they have listed doing it by Terminal. SO i did it my way and then did the next listed and surely enough i got a different reaction when i attempted to start it. lol which you can see in my Snapshoot http://foxzone.ath.cx/12SkyLinuxWorking1.png



Update3:was sorta a pain but seems the step 5 wont work. even know its correct. it seems it dont unpack correctly into the System32 folder. so would unpack to desktop and then move to the System32 Folder and i got something different. the patcher appers to be working. (Edited: Added Screen Shoot where im at from here http://foxzone.ath.cx/12SkyLinuxWorking1.png )



Update2: Correction it wasnt dead the dumb *** in-puted it wrong. Steps 5 is wget http://neocomy.net/files/dlls-12sky.zip dlls-12sky.zip -d ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/;rm dlls-12sky.zip

Update: I tired following the steps on video with one of the steps dead cuz the files arent on that link. which gonna try to find, skiping the step i tried to follow the rest. which resulted it in doing nothing when trying to start it. lol If i can find these missing files from the dead step ill try from there.

I randomly tried installing 12SKy And got same errors. but never took the time to look up any guides. But ill look into it as well. i wouldn't mind having it to play without having to reboot back into Vista. If i get it working ill try to remember how and let you know. lol
