I upgrade my 8.04 ubuntu to 8.10 with out any problem, and I am able to connect to wireless network , but when I tried to connect to a DHCP wired network it faild, but if I do it using :
sudo dhclient eth0
I connect to the network and I am able to ping any website via shell but the Network Manager icon shows the disconnect status and firefox do not browse any web page, I went through Preference of my firefox but I couldn't find something related to that, it looks strange?

If you are able to ping a website with it's name (Eg., www.google.com) then you should be able to browse it fine. Check if Firefox is in offline mode (File-Work Offline).

No firefox is not in ofline mode, The Icon for network manager is also shows the Disable status.
Now I have an update alert regarding Network Manager and some other packages , maybe after this update the problem might be solve.
