If you've just started using Firefox, you're probably in awe at how it works well, correctly renders XML and CSS, and the tabbed browsing and all that, but there's a few hidden features as well (I found them one night whilst surfing the web drunker than Boris Yeltsin -- I named a drink after him btw;)):*
Both of these features involve typing something in that place on the top of the browser where the URL shows up:
1. Type in about:mozilla and you'll see a passage from the "Book of Mozilla". This also works in Netscape and any other browser that is based on the Mozilla project.
2. Type in a question, any question, and hit return. You'll either be amazed or amused by the results, especially if you use swear words.
Happy Turkey Day!!!**
*How to mix a Boris Yeltsin: Fill a pint glass (or a 1/2 liter glass) with ice. Add 1/3 vodka, 1/3 Kahlua, and 1/3 Irish Creme. This is basically a White Russian with balls.
**Turkey Day: For those of you who aren't American, Turkey Day is Slang for our most gluttonous "eat, drink, and be merry" national holiday, Thanksgiving (last Thursday in November). To commemorate the founding of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, we all have a feast which always involves turkey, cranberrys, corn (maize) and yams, and stuff ourselves to the point of bursting. Then we get drunk on lots of wine. Then we et leftovers for the next month until Christmas when we do the same thing all over again...
