I have just upgraded from breezy 32 bit to breezy 64 bit. Since I have an AMD64 bit computer. My question is how do I play mp3 files? I got it to work on 32 bit... xmms... how do I do it on 64 bit though?

I can't get Rhythmbox to play anything so I installed XMMS and use that for my mp3's. No problem... There may have been some other packages I installed, but I think XMMS should cover it...

How do you get 64 bit xmms? Synaptic dosent show it, and Add Applications says it does not support my hardware.

If I remember right, you'll need to uncomment the backports and universe sections of your /etc/apt/sources.list file...

Then click reload in Synaptic and do a search for XMMS...
