View Full Version : Mouse loses handedness

Just installed 8.10 x86 and applied all updates. I use the mouse left-handed and configured it that way under System/Preferences/Mouse, but 8.10 keeps losing the handedness of the mouse. After a while the mouse behaviour goes back to right-handed, although the mouse properties dialog still shows it configured as left-handed. If I use the dialog to change it to right-handed and then back to left-handed, then it works correctly for a while before going back to behaving right-handed.
8.04 on the same workstation had no problem.

I might have already bugged this, though mine loses handedness when I remove the mouse, then plug it back in. I guess I could always go back to being right handed, but I kinda got used to being a lefty after breaking my wrist.

1) What kind of computers do you have?
2) System specs?
3) I have had no trouble with this issue.

I am having the same issue, I am using an Dell Optiplex 745. I have the issue most often when using a KVM switch, but I have experienced it without a switch as well. The switch worked fine in 8.04 and the mouse never switched to right handed.
