Edit: New info.
oh im sry for the confusion i figured why im gettig this problem, well i think i narrowed it down. It seems that when i put a memory card into the memory card slot in the side of my computer and remove it. NOW if i close my laptop screen and it goes into sleep mode and open my screen back up, i notice that this somehow causes the blue screen in windows?! i still do not know why though. But before it does go to the blue windows screen, on the bottom of my task bar it show that i plugged in a storage device? weird because nothing is plugged in. It says that their is a device in my F: drive. But, I still would appreciate any helpful advice from anyone and Thank You in advance!

hello, im am new to linux and i installed ubuntu on my pc. I have been reading and searching on these and other forums and i have got quite a bit done. :) .
anyway i noticed after i dual booted my pc with having xp pro and now linux ubuntu, my windows xp pro os gives me a windows blue screen and i have to manually hold down the power button and I have to restart my pc! The blue screen says i have to check my cache and any new installed programs to see what is giving me this error. I ran some diagnostic memory checks and other things in my bios, but the tests i ran say everthing is fine.
Please help i really am nervous about this problem, is this a bug? Oh also this windows blue screen only occurs when i close my laptop screen, when i close my screen my laptop goes into a sleep mode, or like a suspend mode, this happens so i can conserve battery life.
My specs are:
Dell xps m1210
cpu: 2.33 core2 duo
memory: 2gb ddr2
Video card: Nvidia GeForce Go 7400
