OK, here's my problem,
I have my laptop with a native screen resolution of 1440*900.
Sometimes (in fact, very often) I plug it to a LCD TV.
To make it detect and work with the LCD TV (as a clone screen), I have found nothing else but reboot the laptop so that it use the external screen. But 1440*900 is a little bit bigger than the max TVscreen resolution, so if I want to have my all desktop on the TV I have to go on preferences and change the screen resolution.
Of course, when I'm done using the TV screen I have to revert to my initial 1440*900 resolution.
Everything works but the whole procedure is a little bit long and uneasy (especially that I'm not the only user of the laptop)

The question is, is there a way to switch from config one (laptop screen 1440*900) to config two (laptop + tv screen + some other resoltuion) automatically when I plug the cable or using a shortcut and the same to revert to config one ?

thx
