Ubuntu with WPC54g Ver 3 on Dell Latitude C600

I am brand new to Ubuntu and I was given some help with the Installation and such and I am trying to get my wireless card working with it. I have a Linksys WPC54G Ver. 3 - I am completly new to this operating system and not familiar with any of the commands but I would like to learn. If you have some time or knowledge I would love the help !!!!

I got the aircard working - using the Ndiswrapper.

I first had my laptop plugged into a diff card - then downloaded the Driver utility from the Linksys.com website for my version. then used the Ndiiswrapper to install the driver. then took out the old card put in the wirless and enabled it.
