Eject Customization

This works as billed--I'm using the Clear with Black keys Apple Keyboard--Have Set-up "macintosh" in Gnome keyboard preferences. Following the path in the forum thread (replacing the i386.rpm with a ppc.rpm) & using the key check, I got the same keymap--key number is 204----so my .xmodmap looks exactly the same--- keycode 204 = XF86VendorHome (note--after X restart-the Xserver will ask if you want to load the mod--say yes & check don't ask again)

After following ALL the steps I now have my main DVD open & shut with the eject key---I now need to find a way to do key combos for my DVD-ROM & external Firewire CD burner:???: But at least it's a step in the right direction:smile:
