Looks good, especially the wallpaper. I think there needs to be a bit more contract (maybe some color) on the window controls though.

The titlebar doesn't go with the rest of the theme imo. The title bar is high gloss, while the menu bar is matte and the rest is just plain.

Love the wallpaper.
I think the über-glossy titlebar should be out in favor of something more matte, as it would match the rest of the theme.
Same with the buttons, I think they should be replaced by a simple _ ^ x.

Right, I think that the titlebar just ruined everything. Otherwise, it's pretty good.

Yea, that's true. I wanted a glossy theme so did this.. The GTK theme is good and would meet what you guys said

Thank you for ur comments :)

If you took that concept, and changed the color scheme to match your GTK theme, it would be perfekt.

Not in my opinion, but then again I'm not a fan of minimal themes that are THAT minimal. :p

Oh I didn't mean it as your, just referring to the whole themeset.
Anyways, I guess you guys could make the buttons more substantial?
I dunno, maybe just - □ X

So far, I only did Emerald, the GTK is proving difficult, I may just go with a different one and revise that instead.

I really like the wallpaper.

As others have said, the window border is much too shiny for my liking.

I like the wallpaper a lot. Of course, the one that will be included with the official release will just be an oblong dark brown object swirling in a field of slightly lighter brown, at least if Ibex is any indication. ;)

It actually won't be the one in the beta that is default. If you check the art mailing list recently, they are testing other wallpapers which could become default.

Good usage of a brown palette. I like the colors of the gtk, but I don't like the widgets that much. I think picture #2 looks a lot better than picture #1.... so maybe if you made the gtk with only the menubar as that dark brown, and then use the regular color for the toolbar/tabbar....

I don't like the folders or green icons either.... that is where you could keep the Ubuntu orange color and still match your theme with the beautiful dark brown and tan that you have used. I would rather have folder that look like folders.... still minimal and glossy but more like a new, updated Human theme.

I like what you did with the emerald theme's buttons, the theme is cool too, but I think a lighter color might bring out the brown menu bar of the gtk (which I like). Maybe if you chose a color that's in between the dark brown menubar, and the light-tan gtk's bg_color.

The wallpaper is hilarious. The color of the horns is kinda ugly.... maybe the Human orange color would work there too, but the rest looks really good.

Cool anyway.

Nice feedback's here.. i like it.. one common feedback is about the title bar

Few like the title bar, few dont.. something has to be done.. may be lighter and different min. max buttons..

I did not expect that anyone would like the vallpaper, but to my surprise most of you guys do.. i like it :D

I like emerald themes, so I don't mind the engine you used and the buttons and overall look of the emerald theme (the perfect middle glow height effect).... I also like the minimalism of it.

I just think it would look better if: A.) it blended in with the menubar's curvy graphic.....or: B.) was the color of the calculator in picture #2.

What I like about your mock up is that it kept real close to the Ubuntu colors. Like I said earlier, a bit more of the dark orange would be nice for the icons, folders and maybe the rabbit horns. The horns are orange-ish already, but it's sort of a gross orange-ish-tan.....

Yes, even i like the emerald theme, i think it looks royal :P ... well yes, could match with the menubar colour, that's a good one...

the folder icon, i just wanted to use something different, that is a leather folder, rather than the normal candy folder..

I like it, though I think you should take a look at the XP visual style Knorr Smooth Mod (http://lassekongo83.deviantart.com/art/Knorr-Smooth-Mod-74928841), which is one of my favorite brown themes ever. It may give you a few ideas for your theme, which is turning out to look like it.

I like the latter buttons too, but perhaps you could cut a column of pixels of the left side of the maximize button.

I'm not sold on this mockup. It's too dark around the menu area and title bar. Not too high on the wallpaper either. Keep em coming though! I like mockup discussions.

How about posting to the correct forum btw? Art & Design (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=16).

And I think jeyaganesh is misusing the thank you button. AFAIK it's for posts that solve a problem or contain useful information... How about rating the thread instead?

Just my 2 cents...

I like the second set of menu buttons (min, max, close) without the borders.

1st here; though you should include each to get to a better user base. Also the new theme looks great!

I like the 1st one.
I like what you have shown and done though. The only thing i would like to see from what you've shown is the menu bar right at the top with apps, places, system etc also have that rounded shiney look too.
