View Full Version : [kubuntu] how to speed up mounting USB stick

I know Hardy has set simple tasks like automounting back to the stone age, but is there any quicker way of accessing my usb stick than typing

sudo mount -t vfat /dev/sdb /media/usb

The device doesn't even display in konqueror under media:// for some reason...

Are you saying it does not automount as usb memory sticks and cards usually do?

Yes. This has been happening on both my machines ince I upgraded to Hardy - no SD or USB devices will automount.
