Re-installing ethernet card (for XP)

Hello. Now that I re-formatted my HD and dual booted Ubuntu and XP successfully, I don't know why Ubuntu's connection works while my XP's one doesn't. It says on XP that it couldn't detect an ethernet adapter. What is it talking about? There is an ethernet adapter in our computer as we speak. Please help?

looks like you will have to reinstall the windows drivers for your network card, visit the card manufacturers support website and download the drivers there, or you may have received a driver cd that contains them when bought with the pc, reload the drivers off that if so.
