I have nothing against Buddhism or any other religion; believe whatever you want (as long as you don't suppress other people with it).

I really do not like all those Ubuntu releases for different religions or other groups. Why do all those groups want a separate version of Ubuntu?

Ubuntu is supposed to be for all people - separating yourself from others by creating an Ubuntu for your specific belief or other group seems to be right against the spirit of Ubuntu to me.

Read that again from their point of view ;)

Basically, you just said people should be free to do what you want. I believe people are free to do what they want, and have no objections to people exercising their freedom even if it isn't something I would do.

Ubuntu is for all people. They are not separating themselves. Is a company that sells pants in one size better than one that custom tailors? (Assuming prices are the same).

Whats with all of the religious buntu's? Ubuntu CE, Ubuntu SE, Ubuntu ME, and possibly Ubuntu BE(buddhist edition) :S. I think while we're at this we should add "Ubuntu Pastafarianism Edition", "Ubuntu Amish Edition" (wut), "Ubuntu Agnostic Edition", "Ubuntu Atheist Edition", "Ubuntu Scientology Edition", "Ubuntu Zoroastrianism Edition", etc. (/sarcasm).

What is with them? Ubuntu is free, in more than one sense of the word.

There are many derivatives that use Ubuntu as its base, and it is only the very few religious ones that people get excited about.

Relax. Take a deep breath. Say to yourself "It is alright if people have other beliefs than me."

I'm waiting for Ubuntu Trade Union Edition or Ubuntu Cheerleaders Edition, or maybe Ubuntu Astrology Edition. Makes just as much sense as Religion Editions.
