I have vsftpd set up and it's running great. I run windows 2k at work and I would like to use good ole' IE to login, I can do the ftp://username:pass@whatever.com but I would like to just go to ftp.whatever.com and have it pop up with the login prompt. No idea how to do this, I searched on the forum's and i googled it but i dont exctally know what the login popup is called. Any ideas?

Some ftp sites simultaneously provide http access. Are you thinking of the little authentication popup that the http (not ftp) protocol provides?
Can you point to an example of what you mean?

Sure
ftp.consoleathletics.com
Now i mean ftp. I want the login box to pop up, so when you go to the site it asks for your user id and pass.
Now Only IE has this function, if your using firefox it won't work
