I have a video camera which records video to .MOD files. I want to be able to edit my material at work but of course the software they have cant read .MOD files.
Can anyone tell me how i can convert my files, preferably to .mov but anything that is more universal will work. Keeping good quality is more important than size within reason. It would also be better if i would not have to convert them one by one :p

With thanks...

.MOD is actually an mpeg 2 ..

Do a search on the forum for FuocoTool .. that should do the trick converting any multimedia format to any multimedia format

I'm having a Panasonic as well and I am using the mod2avi script from http://mod2avi.sourceforge.net/ it works very well after a little tweak you have to do...it converts mod (mpeg2/ac3) files to avi (xvid/mp3) files.

just follow the steps and then use nano and change:

xvid to libxvid

mp3 to libmp3lame

save it and use it...works great
