Open Office: no graphics, no spell checker

Problem 1: The graphics aren't showing and it's slightly annoying just looking at text

Problem 2: I have English (UK) installed. The spell checker just isn't working. I'm sure I've installed all the packages. :confused:

I've read through other topics on this forums and others but can't get neither problem to work :(

Regarding problem #1, please select View | Toolbars from the menu on your screen. There are probably no toolbars selected. You may wish to select Standard and Formatting on the menu.
