View Full Version : Sound not clear, blurred

Hello,

I am using Ubuntu 5.10 Breezy on my AMD64 desktop. Recently there is a problem with the sound on my system. Everything plays, can be heard, but the sound is not at all clear like it used to be till a few days back. What could be te reason for the same?

PS - I have the latest software, regularly updated. I also use nvida-glx for my nVidia GEForce5200+ graphics card.

What sound card do you have?

Wild guess -> Try the volume manager and check if PCM is set to max.
It shouldn't be because it's causing the bad sound quality.
