Hi,
What is the best text to speech online tool? I have come across these:

http://vozme.com/index.php?lang=en
http://www.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php

The one with no limit has a less than clear voice.[vozme]

However the one with the clearer voices only has a limit of 300 characters and is restricted.[research.att]

I need an online tool which can export the speech to an audio file and that does not have a character limit (at least allows more than 500 characters anyway).

Thanks.

Why don't you just install Festival, it's open source and has many nice voices. It's in the repos, here's the website: http://festvox.org/festival/
and here's a tutorial that google pointed me to http://www.xenocafe.com/tutorials/php/festival_text_to_speech/index.php
It allows you to have many different voices.

If that's too much trouble, why don't you just use the one with a limit, split the text into chunks, then join the audio files later?
