Or for installing an OS that has a usable flash experience, the most common development platform in use in the professional world, or to play games that look like they were made after 2003.

But an interesting video nonetheless.

Nice vid...

but

I must be a pain and say that it is not the cd that is attracting the charges as you can see clearly.

Also I must say I don't like Vista as much as I love Ubuntu and my xbox but it is an awsum OS in terms of power and usability.

But hey....just one opinion

or show a pen thru the hole in the middle and use it as a pizza cutter

or hang a few off a tree and use them as wind chimes

or use them as a coaster for your favorite beverage

or let the kids use them as a frisbee in the yard

or use it to reflect the sun as a mirror to act as a signal to contact others when you are lost

or use a few of them under the corner of a table to stop it wobbling

or pile a heap together and super glue them together and use them as book ends

or if you had say 2 boxxes of them you could use them for weight lifting and become a world champion body builder

or you could heat them up and put them in a blow mould and make something useful out of them like a soap holder

or if you had may boxxes full of them you could super glue them together and make the hole in the middle bigger and is it to replace the downpipe from the gutter in your house to the ground

or you can use the cd as a plaster trowel

or use the cd to help mix up your next batch of concrete

or attach the cd to a low speed drill and use it in the kitchen as a beater or use it to whip cream with and make butter

or just stock pile them in your nearest abandond mine shaft and use it for a neclear fall out shelter when the time arrises

aaaahhhhhh so many cd's and so little time to write about the uses

Is it? I work as a developer in a large company. Our company is one of the many that evaluated Vista and refused to buy it. We're still on Windows XP.

As for alternative uses for Vista DVDs, they catch the sun really well and reflected the most amazing rainbow reflections. String a load together and put them in the garden. They are both ornamental and they help deter birs from picking your seeds out.

Vista is essential to my working environment, sometimes I grow tired of being able to fix my software issues and boot into Vista for a good rage, very cathartic.

Hold on to it, it might be valuable....well maybe not now...

Seriously, I read that some people actually collect those old AOL discs (and floppies).

When I was a kid my friends and I would get those AOL discs (floppies) and toss them around my basement like frisbees.

Shoot .. if you have THAT many Windows Discs I'd suggest selling them for $50 a piece and making some easy cash.

Then again if you already have that many Windows Discs .. money probably isnt an issue for ya lol.

not that it would make much difference to the video, i suppose!

DVD, Blueray, or any other name can be given to an optical disk.
CD is probably most commonly used because it was the first.

Good list. :D

My friends and I would turn the AOL trial disks into range weapons too.

My favorite Vista video:

Another good video. Thanks.
I want to see a video of someone eating a Vista cookie for some reason.

I saw someone make a giant fish sculpture out of AOL discs, since they came in different colors, it looked more piscine (fishlike) than a Vista disc fish, since Vista discs don't come in many colors, and they cost money (I mean professionally made ones).

Yes, I know I'm either missing the sarcasm, or feedinf a troll, but... Or for installing an OS that has a usable flash experience, the most common development platform in use in the professional world, or to play games that look like they were made after 2003.

But an interesting video nonetheless.

Let me correct your grammar
"Or for installing an OS that has a usable flash experience"
should be:
"Or for installing an OS that you can install flash on by going to adobe.com instead of searching for flash in synaptic"

"...the most common development platform in use in the professional world.."
should be:
"...currently the most common desktop development platform in use in the professional world..."

"...or to play games that look like they were made after 2003..."
should be:
"...or to play games that look like they were made after 2003 without either working with wine, or getting cadega..."

and you forgot
"...and an OS that tells you what you can do with your computer, by having DRM all over it, and not letting you under the hood to make modifications, and requiring most people to use up system resources to run some form of virus protection."

Yes, I wasn't correcting grammar, but still.
