Mythbuntu 8.10 freezes after 20 sec.

Mythbuntu 8.10 beta displays live TV with intermittent skips for about 20 seconds and then freezes. Brief description of hardware:

Asus M3A78-EMH HDMI motherboard
AMD 64 X2 5000+ processor
Hauppaugge HVR 1250 capture card

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you manage to get the hvr1250 to work with Mythbuntu 8.10 specifically the analog channels? I ask because I am in the process of building a htpc using the same motherboard and tuner, and I was hoping to run Mythbuntu.

Not yet. I did get the digital tuner to work for a while on some channels using Mythdora 5. I just downloaded Mythbuntu 8.10 rc and hope find the time to try it out in the next few days. When I get to it, I'll try to let you know how it went.

Edit 10/27: I've only been able to scan for digital channels in Mythbuntu 8.10 rc. It appears that the HVR 1250 is for all intents and purposes unsupported by 8.10.
