If i were to install a windows simulator (or however you put it) called Virtualbox on a Ubuntu, would i be able to use Netzero software, and my windows modem?
P.S. I haven't installed Ubuntu yet, i just wanna be safe before i instal it and then find out i can't get on the internet.

You don't even have to do it that way.
I used Netzero AND Juno on my Ubuntu Machine. I found the instructions somewhere on THIS forum back when I had Ubuntu.7.04. I have since upgraded to 7.10 but haven't tested it to see if Netzero or Juno still work.
I forget exactly what the instructions said, but I remember having to download the "Linspire" version of NetZero and Juno.
I hope that the Ubuntu "leap" works out well. I was VERY Cautious at first, and NEEDED Dialup Internet at the time. Its the BEST switch I ever made, and no longer miss Windows. Good luck on the switch too should you also follow suit :)
