My guess would be the default one, but I'm unaware of any real data on the topic.

My guess would be, project Greyham, bluetoobe, or mythcenter.

I use the PearTV theme. Although, I changed the image of the pear to the Mythbuntu image with the TV and red, green, blue circle (although it would look good with the 8.10 logo as well). It looks really good and professional.
MythVideo support is lacking and needs some work in this theme however.

Yeah. When I created the PearTV theme I was hoping someone would take hold of it and enhance some of the modules. All the PSDs are available at:

...if anybody wants to enhance it.
I never made an SD version either. It's only available in wide.

Thanks for making it, I still use it on my 3 HDTVs. It is simple and it works. It also works good in the dark.
Well, I still haven't worked on the highlighting of posters in MythVideo yet. And one of these days (pretty soon) I will need to update about 100 posters.
This should be an included theme with Mythbuntu if it isn't in 9.04 yet.

I only recently (i.e. this week) switched to Metallurgy - looks very swish and professional, and - almost - matches the metallic effect of most of my HT devices...

Metallurgy for me also.
Just a couple of minor niggles:-
It would be nice when on the upcoming recordings page if there was a message to indicate whether there were any conflicting recordings present, without scrolling through the entire list.
.
{A press 3 option - to jump to first conflict would also be nice, but I think that would be more Myth than theme related}.
Also, in Video manager, the option to change/assign a poster image file for a particular video, doesn't appear to work. At least not for me!
If possible, as the main menu icons are displayed vertically, it would be nice to be able to loop from bottom to top. i.e. pressing down repeatedly will highlight each item in turn, then at the bottom the next press down will select the top item again.
These [I]VERY MINOR niggles aside, this is a very neat and polished theme, and the theme I now default to.
[If I knew what I was doing I would have tried to adapt this theme to customise it just a little, that's all].

I would guess that Retro is near the to of the popular list. For a while it was my favourite. Now I use my own theme. It's really just a mash-up of icons from a few themes (with the occasional mod) and a mod of the default layout.
