Dell D630: Sound dont work

Hello,

I just buy a laptop Dell Latitude D630, I just installed Ubuntu 8.04 (uptodate) for 32bits (yes, my mistake!) but the sound and micro works only few times.. I listen the Ubuntu first sounds at login,but when I try I can not play music...

Thats problem is for not install 64 bits version? or is a config troubble? I read in internet similar problems with this models( I try to fix follow some guides), thats fixed in 8.10?

Any idea what is wrong?

I just find the fix for me:

Go to System>Preferences>Sound

there, in the four combos select ALSA-Advanced Linux Sound Architecture

and ... all sounds works fine!
