View Full Version : Intrepid problems: Yakuake and Network

I've been using Hardy Heron on my MacBook (C2D) for about 4 months and it has performed flawlessly.
About 6 weeks I tried Intrepid Ibex (Alpha 3) for about a week. Although it preformed well, it was unpredictable so I went back to Hardy.
Today, I installed Intrepid Ibex Beta and I have these problems:

1. No System>>Administration>>Network and therefore I can't select my DNS servers which is very necessary for me to avoid slow browsing
2. Yakuake is one app I cannot live without and, unfortunately it doesn't work well in Intrepid Beta on this machine (although I had no problem in Intrepid Alpha 3).
So although Yakauke installs without problem from Synaptic, the default open-retract key (F12) prefers to act like a right-click on wherever the mouse pointer happens to be and, as a result, doesn't open Yakuake. I have also tried to change the open-retract key but this also didn't work for me.

Has anybody else come across, or prefereably resolved, either of these problems?
