Gutsy sucsees hardy still not there

I did an upgrade from fiesty to gustsy and then I installed this package to make it work http://ftp.egr.msu.edu/debian/pool/main/x/xserver-xorg-video-ati/xserver-xorg-video-ati_6.6.3-2_powerpc.deb
It made gusty work but then when I tried to upgrade to hardy, It gave me an error saying this package contains xserver-xorg-video-1.0
which conflicts with xserver-xorg-core.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I tried to do force all and it started ubutnu in low graphics mode and I could barley read the text any ideas on how to get it to run in high graphics mode?
