Ok, I read the .plan file and I have looked around and found that there is no level editor for linux due to the fact that it relies too heavily on the windows API.

However, is there another editor, perhaps a native linux one, that I can make maps and/or skins/models for quake 4 with?

Thanks

not sure if this is applicable at all, but have you heared of the linux sdk for quake 4?

EDIT: The website for the sdk, http://www.iddevnet.com . The linux one should have alll the content the windows version has.

Yeah, I have that. It doesn't have the level editor, and one of the Raven Dudes said that it was because (as with the Doom III level editor) the editor relies too heavily upon the windows API, therefore it would be a hassle to port.

Anyone know of any level editors for linux at all? Half LIfe editor, any Quake editors? All I know of is Yadex for Doom 1-2 ;-;

outta curiosity, did you try the windows one in WINE? It's a longshot, but it may work.
