View Full Version : [ubuntu] Problem with Logitech Pro 9000 and Cheese!

I am currently not in front on the laptop but i believe i can ask my question with some sort of knowledge.

Up front I am a ubuntu newb, i can however follow directions. I happened across ubuntu via "Cheese", an upcoming halloween party got me looking into photobooth type programs and not wanting to shell out $600 for the Windows Version, i decided to load the latest Ubuntu and use an exsiting Logitech Pro 9000 webcam, I have read it is "out of the box".

The bright side is the camera works in cheese KINDA.. Is it normal not to be able to change the camera resolution from Preferences in Cheese? Thats the only issue i have with this great application.

Currently i take photo in cheese and sync to a Flickr account via some fancy Connector program, who's name i cant remember. BUT its a very small picture.

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

On a side note - I am open to other apps that would allow my party-goers to easily take their images easily

Thanks in advance
