suspend

hi all,

first of all, i'm sorry for my bad english.
ubuntu can suspend my toshiba laptop and i enjoy from this good feature because i can boot my laptop as soon as possible.
but please tell me that, can this work endamage my laptop hardware? after suspending all of fans turned off. can i use suspend for long time?
