View Full Version : [ubuntu] Pulseaudio, ALSA and ESD don't work

Hi,

I'm on Intrepid Ibex and for sound, just OSS works.

When I open System > Preferences > Sound:


ALSA - Advanced Linux Sound Architecture: Test: No sound from the speaker
ESD: Enlightened Sound Daemon: Test: No sound from the speaker
OSS - Open Sound System: Test OK
Sound Server Pulseaudio: Test: No sound from the speaker


I don't even have sound with YouTube, Dailymotion, etc.

Can someone help me please? Thanks.

okay, you don't have sound with flash videos, is that right?
did you try the first two easy fixes for this before going on to change the sound system? which are; for flash 9 you install libflashsupport or install flash 10 which should fix your problem, did you try this?

Flash 10 comes by default in Intrepid. Anyway, Psyke83 has written a little something for Intrepid users here:
