I'm planning to buy the Vostro 1310n with a Dell 1505 Wireless-N mini-card, I like the other specs that I'm getting but I don't have an option of changing the wireless card to Intel Pro (which usually works out of the box with Ubuntu). Now, I asked people from Dell to check it for me and they said they wouldn't even try a live CD on a machine for testing since it is 'not supported'. I really like everything else about the laptop, has somebody already tried the Dell wireless 1505 card? I know there are issues with the XPS and the same wireless device, but I don't know anybody who uses a Vostro with this device for Ubuntu. I'd be happy if somebody enlightened me on this

There are a few issues with the laptop in general.
The wifi card is a broadcom 4328/29- currently the n isn't supported . I've got the 1310 and thanks to ayuthia got it running (with issues, wifi keeps on bugging me for password etc), you'll need in 8.04 the restricted broadcom drivers and that should work. I wanted the intel but it wasn't an option for me.
