Hi all,

I am trying to play back some video on my PS3 but it is *extremely* finicky with the video format. It needs to be mpeg4 with AAC audio and either 852x480, 1280x720, or 1920x1080.

The problem is that I have two videos, one is 1920x800 and the other 1920x1040. All I need to do is increase the width by adding black space to both sides of the video.

My video is contained in an MKV, but I can easily extract it for the processing.

I'd greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks!
George

are you sure you have to? there's a big thread somewhere on here about playing and streaming ps3 content. if you do have to add black bars, you'll need to reencode the video. it'll be a pain in the **** to keep the quality high without making the filesize massive.

have a look here for adding black bars

you could look here though:http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=3916050&postcount=8
