Hi everyone,

I am looking into purchasing some hardware and such to make a mythbuntu box. I don't realy know what I am doing but from what I can tell I need a DVB-C or a DVB-S device. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and have subscribed to Bell for my television programming. In the apartment building they have a technology called VDSL, which from my understanding is fed from a satellite on the roof to the apartments in the building, giving phone, internet and television services all from the satellite. Now a coaxial cable comes from the wall into some sort of receiver and then into my television.

Does anyone know if I need DVB-C or DVB-S or something else entirely? Also, will my mythbuntu box be plugged in between the wall and receiver box or the receiver box and the television?

Also, does anyone in Ottawa, Ontario or Canada know where I can purchase the required hardware that is supported with mythbuntu?

Thanks for all the help.

Dan
