View Full Version : Where do I find upgrade instructions?

I downloaded the 8.04 installation manual and it doesn't seem to contain any instructions on upgrading an existing (7.10 in my case) mythbuntu installation.

Are there any upgrade instructions? Is an upgrade done from the live CD somehow?

Thanks for that. I see how it is supposed to work now. Except for one bit. They say

"In order to be able to shut down your Mythbuntu computer using HAL, you need to update your shutdown and reboot commands manually to /usr/share/mythtv/myth-halt.sh and /usr/share/mythtv/myth-reboot.sh. By using these scripts, there's no need anymore to modify your sudoers file just to turn off your media centre."

I have never changed a shutdown or reboot command. Do they mean redefine them somehow to point to the given myth scripts? Where/how is that done?
