Hi,

I noticed that mplayer packages in multiverse are still built with GTK+1.x. I think it will be good if these packages are built with GTK2 since the obvious advantages of GTK2. In fact, the mplayer packages provided by Marillat (an official unofficial reposity of debian) have been built with GTK2. And XMMS has been removed from the dependencies of mplayer.

Thank you.

If you have some time you can compile it yourself with gtk2 : http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=78037

Yeah. It is not difficult to compile it by myself. I just want to suggest ubuntu provided a gtk2 mplayer since it is more suitable for average users. Thank you for your post.
