http://www.bleedingthreats.net/

The above site was set up when snort.org started charging for its rules. I am subscribed to snort.org's community rules, which are still free, but wanted to supplement them with the rules from bleeding threats. A review of the web page shows that nothing has been updated on the website since 2007. Is the site still actively creating rules? If not, is there a new open source rule set available for Snort?

Thanks,

Obitori

Yes, Bleeding Threats is defunct unfortunately. There were license conflicts about to arise.

I moved the entire ruleset over to a new project, Emerging Threats. http://www.emergingthreats.net. We are now US Gov't Grant Funded to continue this work!! Very good news.

If you haven't updated since Bleeding Threats days you have a few thousand rules to import. Same URL but new domain name.

Hope to see you there. New site, new mailing lists, and a lot of new projects!
