I had to pull out my windows box in order to use Divx Author tonight, so I'm wondering if there is anything similar for Linux?

Also I was wondering if anyone has any tips/advice for improving speed, quality, ect with ubuntu studio? What I mean is what can I do to improve the speed at which videos are converted and so forth.

I use it to make menu's similar to those on a DVD. If I burn a standard DVD I cannot fit as much video on a single DVD like I can with a Divx disk. I use a Divx player to watch my videos, so having a Divx ultra dvd makes my life much nicer. :)

Do you mean: ¿You make DivX author work? ¡¿HOW?! For me it works until starts to decode the file. Then gets stuck and i dont know why. ¿Something is missing or else?
Im using wine to make it work , but i get this error:
