Java applets not running in SeaMonkey 1.1.12

Greetings. I am a relative newcomer to Ubuntu, and I was directed to ask my question in this forum.

I manually installed SeaMonkey according to the instructions here, including the step that creates a symbolic link to the plugins that Firefox uses.

I encountered no problems in installation, but I notice that I cannot run Java applets, for example at this page:

I am able to run Java applets in FireFox 3, but not in SeaMonkey 1.1.2. What can I do now? :confused: Any help appreciated!

2) Is your system 32 or 64-bit?
