I was wondering when one buys a laptop from System76 is there a percentage of the profit that gets donated towards Ubuntu/Canonical?

We support Ubuntu by sending the results of our own R&D upstream so that Ubuntu becomes a better product -- able to run on more systems out-of-the-box.

We are also partners with Canonical and send a lot of server support contracts their way.

There are a number of other things we do to spread awareness of Ubuntu: speaking at Lug meetings, demoing Ubuntu at industry events, the sticker program, etc...
