I am a little confused about what capabilities my graphics card actaully has. It is an old card now and it is an XFX geforce 5200 card. XFX is a company related to nvidia and essentially the card is a geforce FX 5200. This card has an tv ariel plug on it and I thought I could use it to set up mythtv. Now I can't seem to get it to work and I am not sure if it is because the card is to old to be using or if the ariel is for pushing video signal from my card to a tuner or that I simply don't understand this properly. Can anyone clear this up for me.

you won't be able to watch tv without a tv tuner card. your video card comes with a s-video out jack that is just for doing computer stuff on a monitor/tv that has a s-video connection.

yesI see you have the haupauge pvr 150 in your signature and I have heard a lot about the [123]50 cards from them. Would you consider them to be the best cards for the job.

ok, so my graphics card troubles continue. today, without doing anything to my monitor or the computer im having new troubles. i turn on the computer and everything works fine until i log on, then for some reason it says "cannot display this video mode". the monitor is a VGA Dell flat screen and i have a DVI to VGA adapter.
