I have a Miditech MT-49 midi controller and it used to work fine on my ubuntu 8.04, but now it has somehow stopped working. I installed Ubuntu Studio on a second hard drive but I can't get it to work in studio either.
Here is a screenshot of my jack settings and connections:

If someone could help me it would be great

Could you describe the behaviour better? Is that "Ensoniq AudioPCI" item the miditech or some other card you have? Is the controller recognized in lsusb when you plug it in? etc...

It used to work when I connected the Ensoniq AudioPCI into qsynth or zynaddsubfx etc... Ensoniq audiopci is the name of my soundcards chipset i think... The controller is connected via a midi cable into the midi/game port on my soundcard (Soundblaster live audigy if i remember correctly).
