View Full Version : [ubuntu] SHMConfig only sometimes not enabled and requires reboot

I have an intermittent problem with SHMConfig in that every now and then, after booting up, it is not enabled. For me the ramification of this is mainly in regard to the touchpad and inability to load syndaemon. Other than that, the touchpad dialogue disappears from System-->Preferences-->Mouse.

A reboot (rather than restarting X) usually fixes the problem so that SHMConfig is enabled again.

I wonder if anyone else has noticed or had this issue and if there is an explanation/solution?
