I'm not quite sure what's going on, I'm running 64bit Fedora 9, the latest Nvidia drivers, Wine 1.0. When I play World of Warcraft, every few seconds the frame rate drops by about 7 frames. Then goes back to normal.

Its not unplayable, just mildly annoying to have the stuttering every few seconds.

I never had this on Ubuntu, in fact it was perfectly smooth, any ideas on what this is?

Thanks

Hmmm, I don't know what the problem might be. Like you, I'm running WoW on Fedora 9 and Wine 1.0, and it runs beautifully for me. I am using the latest nvidia driver from the livna repos and kernel 2.6.25.14-108.fc9.x86_64.

Perhaps you're using a different kernel and kernel module for your driver. I don't know if this would make much of a difference, though. In lieu of giving you advice that I'm probably not knowledgeable enough to give, though, I'd suggest heading over to the Gamers Lounge (http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forumdisplay.php?f=60) of the FedoraForums, if you already haven't. The people over there are much smarter than I am.
