I'm watching some subtitled stuff in .mkv format, but I keep seeing around different words and letters. I know that it is supposed to be italics, but sometimes it also covers a single number or letter (usually 'y' or '1') that may or may not be italicized (I mean, who italicizes a single letter in a word?).

Is there any way I can get it to read that, or just remove the entirely? Using Totem (the unnamed Movie Player default program, I guess?) for Ubuntu 8.04.

hmm id guess that that whoever made the file didnt format the subtitles correctly, i dont see that on any matroska files here, do you have the same problems in VLC or mplayer? if so it might be a gstreamer problem.

oh, and ill report lihualee, its a bot and commercial links to wow gold sellers im fairly sure breaks forum rules. :)
