I'm sure many people come directly to ubuntu forums for help. Many probably don't know how to search wiki pages, etc... They probably come right here to ask about how to get helpwith repositories. I think it would be helpful to have a "How-To" sticky on how to set up repositories, lile how to use the "sources.list generator". I just thought it might be helpful.

This is a dev thing, and could be bugzillaed as a usibility bug.
But even then the user would have to find the sources.list first, some people will also always just post a serch every time they have a question (and thats why i give extra points to people who search first).

also you could probaly find something on sources.list in the man pages, not on my ubuntu box so i cant look it up.

i just searched for "sources list generator" and came up with 4 results. this one being the only one that sounded even close to what i was looking for. there should be a reference that is easier to find to here, http://www.ubuntulinux.nl/source-o-matic, for nOObs such as myself. i just found it a couple days ago and believe me, i've been searching stuff on here!!
