I have an Ubuntu "annoyance" I am using my Ubuntu Machine as a networked storage system amongst other uses like acting as a Media Server and running Boinc but every time I copy files across the network into my Shared folder on my Ubuntu Machine they are copied with no owner or file permissions "set" and while its a 30 second chore to go into console and use chmod and chown its annoying.
Is there a fix I can use so when I copy files across the network they automatically have these set or do I have to manually set the permissions every time?
