I would like to add this link in my sig.

It is for a site that sells Ubuntu repo CD's.

Is it OK for me to put this link in my sig?

I have read the UF COC and it looks like it is OK, just want the blessing of the UF staff.

I do not own or administer this site.

what I mean is a link that enables you to make money from someone visiting the site or making a purchase.

Like an affiliate link.

No - I do not make money from this link.

I would like to list this on my sig only as a helpful link to those on the UF who may need/want this resource.

My sole intention is to help others with this link. Nothing more.

AFAIK you can has any link your sig as long as it's not offensive. Your link in the sig is OK.

The link I would like to add is the link in the first post of this thread.

I have not at this time added the link.

It is a site that sells repo DVD's for Ubuntu.

I would certainly like to hear from a moderator or admin regarding this matter.

I don't see a problem with it if it is in your signature. "Spam" by the definition here would be posting it in a topic without any relevance. Go right ahead.

("it if it is in"... there's a combination of words.)
