Hello,
I am using vmware for a long time now with great pleasure and the only reason I use a dual boot is for the game wow.
I know it can be played with wine/cedega etc... but not the way i want it. (use a lot of tools around it) so today I read that vmware 6.5 is able to do directx 9.0
So my question is, has anyone tried this out yet? I want to be sure it works before I upgrade. Couldn't find anything on the internet to confirm.

On youtube there are small movies like playing UT3 etc.. with a normal framerate. It's strange that they give a feature like "directx 9 support" and then can only use it with 5fps right?
Or you happen to have a old computer/video card?
I would "expect" to get at least like 50% performance or something :)

I've managed to get Sims 2 and Spore to run at almost full speed, but there's a couple of graphic glitches

What are your vm settings? Like memory amount and are you using dual cpu's?
I tried one game so far, Combat Arms, an online game, the graphics were glitchy but seemed to run fast.
I am using 1 gig ram. dual core and have a GT8800 vid card (not that it matters), guest, XP Pro sp3

@darco: In another topic I think you said that you were playing the "invisible man" and can see only partial weapons, clothing and so on. Can you tell us your avareage FPS and a screenshot of you playing a game in VMWare like Combat Arms? Thanks! :)
